Southern New Hampshire chiropractic spinal manipulation care is relieving and cost reducing.

SPINAL MANIPULATION IS EFFECTIVE AND COST REDUCING FOR SPINE CARE

New Hampshire Spine and Sport welcomes all spine pain patients! Spine pain is disconcerting for its sufferers. Southern New Hampshire chiropractic spinal manipulation is beneficial for many. Though low back pain is a major source of disability globally, its sufferers who experience recurrent or persistent bouts of low back pain find chiropractic maintenance care effective as it is patient-centered care. (1) Neck pain sufferers, too, report benefit with chiropractic. Neck pain patients who undergo spinal manipulation – 90% of which is delivered by chiropractors in the US – were found to be 2.38 times less likely to need higher level and more expensive care like imaging, injection, emergency room or surgery (just 26%) than patients who were treated with other type of care (46%). (2) A recent study of Medicare patient claims states that patients who had less access to chiropractic care had an uptick in visits (32.3 a year) to primary care physicians for spine pain and a rise in spine surgeries (5.5 a year) costing an extra $114,967 per 1000 Medicare beneficiaries and $391 million nationally. (3) Your Southern New Hampshire chiropractor is well-qualified in delivering spinal manipulation.  Spinal manipulation is and has been advised as first-line treatment for low back pain. Reviews of Medicare claims point out that chiropractors are the majority of healthcare providers for spinal manipulation and that the general supply of spinal manipulation providers is dropping. (4) Do not worry! Your hometown, Southern New Hampshire chiropractor has no intention of not providing pain-relieving spinal manipulation, particularly the gentle, research-backed Cox® Technic style of spinal manipulation.

New Hampshire Spine and Sport presents new research on the benefit of adequate B vitamin levels.

Southern New Hampshire CHIROPRACTIC TIP OF THE MONTH:

Beneficial B Vitamins

The benefits of B vitamins is undeniable. B12 deficiency is often linked with dementia in patients over 65 years of age. It has also been seen in younger people who have normal B12 levels but their methylmalonic acid (MMA) level is high. Checking the MMA level may be considered in patients with symptoms that seem unconnected as in one patient with neuropathy, depression and stomach issues who tested a high level of MMA. (5) Biotin (B7) supplementation is showing potential in the treatment of neuropathic pain and could lessen the necessary doses of analgesic drugs. (6) Riboflavin (B2) in foods and via supplements is renowned for its antioxidant, anti-cancer, and anti-inflammatory effects among others. A new study found that B2 to be anti-itch. (7) How are your B levels? Let’s talk at your next visit!
