What's Your Exercise "Thing" That You'll Do?

July 02, 2019

What’s your exercise “thing”? Is “Do this.” or “Which do you prefer?” more appealing to you? We all like choices! We all have preferences. Your Southern New Hampshire chiropractor is prepared to give you options when it comes to exercise.  New Hampshire Spine and Sport just wants you to exercise. You pick how! When you choose, the results are better in terms of satisfaction and pain relief. New Hampshire Spine and Sport's chiropractic care is all about you and your Southern New Hampshire back pain relief.

Adding spinal manipulation and/or supervised rehabilitation exercise to home exercise alone for older adults suffering with chronic low back pain enriches their satisfaction with care. (1) Could this result from having a professional check on you and your healing periodically? If you are doing home exercise all by yourself, you don’t get the benefit of someone tending to you, checking on your progress objectively, letting you know you are healing. New Hampshire Spine and Sport is here for our Southern New Hampshire chronic low back pain patients with spinal manipulation, exercise guidance and objective encouragement. Chronic low back pain is tough to cope with. It often limits what you can do. It tends to also reduce your quality and enjoyment of life.

New Hampshire Spine and Sport wants our Southern New Hampshire back pain patients to do what they want and like what they do. Exercise helps. Doing a form of exercise that a back pain patient prefers boosts the chance that he or she will exercise. What do you enjoy doing? A recent study of older adults – 65 to 85 years – assessed the effectiveness of Pilates exercise to aerobic exercise on a treadmill for chronic low back pain. The study proposes that either will decrease pain and improve balance and function and that Pilates may be more helpful since its exercises are directed at the trunk stabilization muscles. Both ways, having a patient choose an exercise program is the goal to enhance patient care satisfaction, pain reduction and quality of life. (2)
